The project titled “Revolutionizing Agrivoltaics in Turkey: A Nexus Approach to Water, Energy, Food, and Biodiversity under Climate Change (AGRI-NEXUS),” led by our Eurasia Institute of Earth Sciences faculty member Dr. Ömer Yetemen, has been selected for funding under the ITU BAP Research Universities Support Program.

The AGRI-NEXUS project aims to revolutionize agrivoltaic/agriphotovoltaic (APV) systems in Türkiye by integrating renewable energy (solar energy), agrivoltaics (co-location: dual land use for solar energy production and agriculture), energy security, climate change adaptation, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable agriculture.

We congratulate our faculty member and wish him continued success.
