ITU continues to demonstrate its academic excellence in archaeology, ranking 5th in TÜBİTAK’s field competency assessment and holding the 1st position in Turkey and 245th worldwide according to the URAP rankings. Within the scope of the ITU Elmali Field Schools, and under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Bülent Arıkan, extensive interdisciplinary fieldwork has been conducted at the Hacımusalar Höyük archaeological excavation site. The program integrates a wide range of scientific disciplines, including photogrammetry, remote sensing, architectural history, conservation and restoration, geophysics, geoarchaeology, paleoecology, geomorphology, archaeometry, anthropology, and geographic information technologies.
