Our institute student, Emin Berke Tülümen, received the Outstanding Student and PhD Candidate Presentation (OSPP) Award at the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly 2026, held on 2–9 May 2026. The award was presented by the conference reviewers in recognition of his presentation entitled "Tracking the 1912 Tsunamigenic Earthquake: A Multi-Proxy Study of Rapid Coastal Evolution and Event Stratigraphy in Kumlubent Lagoon, NW Türkiye."

We congratulate our student on this international achievement and wish him continued success in his academic career.
