The 10th Quaternary Symposium of Turkey (TURQUA-2022)

The 10th of Turkey Quaternary Symposium (TURQUA-2022), which brings together experts in a wide spectrum of fields ranging from Geomorphology to Archaeometry, Paleoanthro-pology to Prehistory, Geology to Climatology, was held on November 2-4, 2022 at Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center in Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Ayazağa Campus, Maslak. The TURQUA symposium series, which started thirty-four years ago, was held this year with 62 abstracts and nearly 300 participants, covering various methods and topics such as advanced geochemical methods and drilling techniques, pollen analysis, and geochronological techniques in the field of Quaternary. At the end of the symposium, the awards for the best oral (Sırrı Erinç award) and poster (Oğuz Erol award) papers were presented to Ergin Gökkaya and Enes Doğan. The Quaternary Summit Award, given in honor of scientists who have contributed to the Turkish Quaternary, was presented to Prof. Dr. Nüzhet Dalfes this year.
