Programs

Our graduate programs provide students with the opportunity to combine theoretical knowledge with fieldwork, laboratory analysis, and advanced modeling techniques. Research conducted in areas such as geodynamics, climate-ocean systems, regional climate change, atmospheric modeling, and ecosystem sciences aims to train future scientists through an interdisciplinary approach.

ITU Eurasia Institute of Earth Sciences

Our mission is to conduct research on critical topics such as climate change, geohazards, active tectonics and earthquakes, geomorphology, marine geology, ecosystem dynamics, air pollution, and hydrological processes, by integrating them with atmospheric, oceanic, and surface system dynamics. The scientific knowledge we produce and the models we develop contribute not only to addressing global environmental challenges but also to supporting strategies aimed at reducing natural hazard risks.

EIES holds a distinguished position within both national and international scientific communities and actively collaborates with numerous research institutions in Turkey and around the world. We believe that science should serve not only the academic domain but also benefit society and inform decision-makers and we remain committed to this principle in all our work.
